Cannabigerols (CBG)
Cannabigerol (CBG) is a cannabinoid compound found in the cannabis plant, with the chemical formula C21H32O2. It is the decarboxylated form of cannabigerolic acid, which is the parent molecule used to synthesize other cannabinoids. CBG is usually a minor component of cannabis.
Cannabigerovarin (CBGV)
Cannabigerovarin (CBGV) is a cannabinoid that naturally occurs in certain phenotypes of hemp and cannabis. Via enzymatic processes that occur either during the natural maturation of cannabis or in a laboratory environment, the precursor of CBGV, CBGVa, transforms into CBDV, THCV, CBGV, or most other cannabinoids in the “varin” subcategory.
Cannabinodiol (CBDL)
A type of chemical in cannabis that causes drug-like effects all through the body, including the central nervous system and the immune system. The main active cannabinoid in cannabis is delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
Cannabinol (CBN)
A cannabinoid isolated from the plant Cannabis that is a metabolite of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), with potential immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory activities. Cannabinol exerts minimal affinity for CB1 and has a weak effect on the central nervous system.
Cannabis
Cannabis is a plant of the Cannabaceae family and contains more than eighty biologically active chemical compounds. The most commonly known compounds are delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).
Cannabitriol (CBT)
CBT, or cannabicitran, is a minor cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. It is one of over 100 cannabinoids identified in cannabis but is present in much lower concentrations compared to more well-known cannabinoids like THC and CBD.
Cannabivarin (CBV)
CBV (Cannabivarin) is a cannabinoid with a structure similar to THCv (tetrahydrocannabivarin), but with different properties. It is found in trace amounts in certain cannabis strains. There is limited research on CBV, but it is believed to have potential therapeutic properties.
Endocannabinoid
Cannabinoids produced naturally within the human body.
Hemp
At the federal level, the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, Pub. L. 115-334, (the 2018 Farm Bill) was signed into law on Dec. 20, 2018. Among other things, this new law changes certain federal authorities relating to the production and marketing of hemp, defined as "the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.
Phytocannabinoid
Phytocannabinoids are cannabinoids that occur naturally in the cannabis plant. The phytocannabinoids are most concentrated in the glandular trichomes (hairy outgrowths) of the flowering heads of the female plant.
Synthetic Cannabinoid
Lab-created compounds that mimic the effects of natural cannabinoids.
THC Free
In the cannabis industry, products labeled THC-free means there are no detectable levels of ∆9THC. THC-free means trace amounts less than 0.01% or 100ppm.
THC-C8
THC-C8 is a synthetic cannabinoid with unique properties, offering an alternative to traditional THC.

Tetrahydrocannabivarinic Acid (THCVa)
THCVa (Tetrahydrocannabivarinic Acid) is the carboxyl acid parent of THCV, the differently-acting side-chain homolog of THC. Unlike THC, decarboxylated THCV does not get its user high and may even surpress appetites.
∆10
